Throughout the Emprendimiento de Base Tecnológica class, my team and I developed a Startup to be both profitable and environmentally responsible. This Startup was called NeoCiclo – a company focused on upcycling used automobile tires and transforming them into new shoe soles. This project exemplified Circular Economy and gave us experience in the nuances of creating a startup.
Key Skills Developed:
1. Defining an environmental problem and understanding the systems/actors/companies at play.
2. Finding a creative solution that has real customers and can be profitable.
3. Communicating the business plan and determining funding options.
4. Working across disciplines and with a diverse team.
